Overview
Nesta's growing Arts & Culture Finance team is looking
for investment analysts to support the work of the Arts & Culture Impact
Fund ("ACIF"). As a social impact investment fund, ACIF's goal is to
enable entrepreneurship.
A cultural heritage
organization that fulfills its mission by utilizing flexible and risk-tolerant
financing.
It primarily provides
loans to eligible organizations across the UK on flexible terms, including
repayment periods of up to 10 years. ACIF builds on the work of the Pioneering
Arts Impact Fund, the first dedicated social impact investment fund for the arts
and culture sector.
Investment analysts
will join the fast-moving, intimate team of the UK's leading innovation
foundation and play a key role in increasing access to social finance for arts
and cultural organizations. Over three years, ACIF will make
approximately 40 unsecured social investments, ranging from £ 150,000 to over £
1m, in organizations that bring clear benefits to individuals and communities
through cultural and creative activities.
Investment analysts
work closely with the broader Arts & Culture Finance team. A collaborative
approach is important.

The Person
We are looking for an independent and curious individual with
more experience in economic valuation and a broader enthusiasm for arts,
culture, heritage, and social enterprise. Specifically, I'm looking for:
Experience
Experience in assessing the financial performance of an
organization (SMEs, charities, social enterprises, etc.), especially from the
background of grants and investments
Trust in financial reporting (account, cash flow, budget) and
experience with financial models
Relationship
management with diverse and diverse organizational backgrounds, seniority,
personality, and work styles
Desirable: Work experience in a social sector organization. B.
Charity
Desirable: Experience working with organizations in the arts and
culture sector
Knowledge
Solid, hands-on knowledge of the basics of financial
reporting and financial concepts
Desirable: Solid knowledge of the concept of social impact,
including monitoring and assessment
Desirable: A strong network in the fields of art and culture
Abilities
Analysis of past financial results and future forecasts,
modeling scenarios as needed
Support in business
and investment risk analysis and development of mitigation strategies
Time management and
ability to deliver work to tight deadlines
Clear and meaningful
text, especially for investment applications
Strong oral
communication skills, including the ability to briefly explain complex issues
and involve a wide audience
Attitude
A collaborative team player who actively engages colleagues
to overcome complex challenges
A curious and
open-minded critical thinker who enjoys giving and receiving constructive
feedback
Well organized,
conscientious, and able to provide work carefully on time
Personal and

What we offer
Salary: Approximately £ 43,000 plus a
variety of benefits such as health insurance plans, dental insurance, annual
leave buying, and selling capabilities, and eye care vouchers.
Location: This position is based in Black
friars, central London.
Term: Fixed-term contract until June 30, 2023
Working Hours: Although
this is a full-time position, we offer a variety of flexible working styles and
encourage staff to take advantage of them. Many do so.
